Stepper Motors As Generators- Great video...someone gave me a garden windmill, that thing is spinning almost all the time. I want to be able to harness some of that energy and just maybe put a 12V marker light on top of it or something simple, I have been researching and I think a stepper motor is the way to go, but I am not entirely clear on the bridge rectifier connection. I can get a rectifier that has 4 terminals and a stepper that has 4 wires, I know 2 of the terminals on the rectifier are DC out, but would I connect all 4 wires from the motor to the 4 terminals on the rectifier, or just the 2 pairs to the 2 terminals and then have the other 2 terminals for DC out?  Is there a simple answer for this?  Thanks

- I think we could use this in hybrids. When u brake u could use regenerative braking speeds and, at high speeds, hydraulics could lift an aerodynamic surface to reveal an air turbine fan thing to assist in stopping and conserving energy... the turbine would have to be light and spin fast,I believe. Maybe then we could get a better charge maybe many fans... they would be inside the car where air is directed through like in sports cars. 
- should put a couple of good sized capacitors in the system to keep the L.E.Ds lit while you're at a stop sign/light

- For free energy to power the stepper motor use old dead batteries. Dead 9v normally have about 7.5v left. Plenty for a 6v motor to charge a few 9v batteries. Dead AA usually have 1.27v for some reason, just put in series to run the motor
