- This bike is really cool , I ride a small sport bike , I wonder how is the lean angle on this bike and how agile is it ? I like leaning and think leaning is the core fun of riding a motorcycle, although not leaning extreme like elbow to the ground but at least knees close to the ground.

- Why isn't the Green colour available in Australia? We only get white and purple. 
- This Vulcan shares a lot with the older Vulcan EN500 & Ltd series, a proven P-twin that's now 650cc verses the 454- 500cc from prior bikes.

History for those who don't know, both motors came from the Ninja line of bikes, that were re-tuned for more low to midrange power, coupled with a cruiser look,  like the older EN500 series , they has a good power to weight ratio, and what seems to be better handling then some others bikes in this class.

Speaking from experience with the prior K4 Vulcan en500 ltd it should make for a great foray into this class of bike, without the excessive weight & equal HP these 2 bikes have to much larger bikes, this alone makes for a easyer bike too ride for many.

If you like the looks & type, you still have the power of the much larger cruisers over a broad range of RPM, with enough torque to get you going easily, also by having a proven water cooled motor.

It should make a good first bike for many, especially if they care about maintenance & comfort, more then only a name to have a good time on two wheels with.

Still it would have been really nice to be belt driven, or shaft driven, but its not, at least there is room for some overall gear changing if so desired ?

- Nismofury: those were the exact same bikes I had been looking at. The bolt has a poorly located air cooler on the right side digging into my calf, the fz 07 is great except for the fact that long distance would be a chore. That being said...vulcan s won...i get mine in a couple of months.

Test ride, research, consider what your use for the bike will be. I wanted nimble for city riding and comfy for cross country trips. The vulcan s will do both.

- Never really liked the Vulcan by Kawa, but this is pretty nice.

- The original Vulcan 500 (cruiser version of the Ninja 500R) was one of the best entry level bikes ever made.  Kawi's lineup has been missing something ever since those two bikes were continued with the Ninja 650R replacing the 500, but no cruiser counterpart.  This was a long time coming.
