HEAVY HAUL TV: on Honda motors, lazy drivers, and Volvo comfort- for that honda when you start it let it pop a couple time then move the choke to half for a couple more seconds then move it to choke off and it will run smooth.the black foam is a pre cleaner.but when the engine start running  move the choke all the way to the right.
- That additive may be ruining you fuel float or any plastic parts in the fuel system.  Suggest you use only alcohol as needed for moisture and cold weather.
That air filter is two stage and the black element helps keep the moisture off. I use those on my gas engines and I have only to keep them clean. I have similar  filterunit on my  welds and air compressors. Heavy moisture air can freeze on an air filter and choke the fuel mixture.
- No wonder it sounded weird in the last video... Honda's will run forever unless you run them on the choke the whole time...
- You'd think for as much as that trailer cost they would have walked you through how everything works??
- Sergie, With small gasoline engines it is MUCH better to use fuel with no ethanol at all. It can be still found and is used by homeowners for lawn equipment. B&B
- The black foam is the filter
- OPEN THE CHOKE FULLY AFTER THE ENGINE HAS WARMED UP (30sec-1min usually, longer if really cold outside)
- Unchoke that HONDA!!!
- The pre filter is okay, honda filters have a better prefilter...
Open the choke a bit after you get it started... you are running way to rich with fuel... open the choke full as soon as you can.
- Wow, I was embarrassed for you there Sergei....maybe you should learn a few basics about small engine operation before you go out on the highway?
- yeha, now you are look like a kid in a candy store, I know you like those kind of machine, Thanks for the Video Sergie
- Sounds like it's running too rich, take the top off of the air cleaner and make sure the choke is opening all the way. And put that foam back over the air filter, it will save your air cleaner, clean the foam with gas and then pour oil on the foam .
- You shouldn't need the choke after the few minute or so. After that, it should be okay to have it off.
- Ooo man! I know that kind of engine, we use them on a few service trucks. They are a pain in the winter! Takes forever to start when it's cold. And yeah, once the motor it's working you have to take the chock off ! You should check the oil deep stick and if smells like gas or if you see a strange color / consistency change the oil and the filter to save the small engine. :) Good luck!
- Don't leave the cover down over the engine when running it. The engine will run badly with it sucking in exhaust it needs fresh air with plenty of oxygen for combustion. And the foam is needed for vacuum pressure and it is the first line against dirt ruining the carb. It should have some oil rubbed into it as well to help grab dust. The one you have may be clogged and need replacing from the soot that it has been sucking in.
- Hey i saw u pull in in minot u still there ?
- OPEN the dam choke as soon as the engine starts !!!!
- You are starving the Honda engine of air.   The exhaust is getting sucked back in through the air filter.  Try running it with the cover over the engine in the open position.  Or extend the muffler to the outside of the cover.
- TO catch the fine stuff. Thats why its there.
- And return that foam filter back over the top of that filter. Small engines have two filters!
