Brushless DC Motors & Control - How it Works (Part 1 of 2).

Brushless DC Motors & Control - How it Works (Part 1 of 2)- What programs did you use for your various animations, graphs and vector diagrams in this and the permanent magnet brushless motor? Brilliant video explaining the magnetic and electrical interactions of a motor.
- Can you sense back emf to determine rotor position instead of having hall effect sensors ? Also how to efficiently protect the output transistors from backemf ? A lot of people are using freewheeling diodes but won't these slow down the rotors and waste energy ? I mean, if you short the input pins on a spinning brushless motor, it acts as a brake ! So shorting them with a diode will brake the rotor, right ?
- when you put A' , B' & C' together then see (time
8:05) then current flow from A to A' then B' to B mean you just reduce the current a half (mean the power reduced ). I assume each coil have 1 ohm resistant and the voltage=12V , so A to A' = 2ohm then B' to B = 2 ohm, totally 4 ohm, so the total current(I) is 12V /4 ohm = 3Amph. and the power (P) is V.I = 12*3= 36 watt. When A to A' energized spreadly from B' to B, the current to drive the motor should be 12/2ohm = 6 Amph in coil A-A' and also 6 Amph in coil B'-B so the total power = 72 watt(A-A') + 72 watt (B'-B) = 144 watt
- Just wonderful and hope you(instructor) leave name.
- Very good job with the narration, content and illustrations. My only suggestion is when you're illustrating the narration, it would be nice if the discussed section is flashed or better high lighted in the illustration. I often found myself searching for the little arrow and losing track of your narration. But GREAT job!
- Well done
- it is very usefull, thank you man
- excellent
- Very good.
- Thank you man. This is just a great video. It has all the stuff that is hard (if not impossible) to explain using words alone. I have read books and websites on this but this video taught me interesting things that I did not know before.
- Excellent Job!
- why you send a negative current for c stater
can you please explain this
- can you explain the torque curve with the rotation of single phase motor
- at what time does the torque get constant in single phase motor
- if i connected for example A and
A in paralel switching them to create N and S poles would i get more torque instead of series ?

- I thought a brushless motor ran off Ac current
