- If you pull the trans and set it on the butt end the input shaft will fall naturally to its own center. Now is a good time to change all fluids. Suggest synthetics.

- Ben yes your correct. when you use the shimplate that is on the motor and measure to the center of the pilot shaft on the transmisson from several points. these measurements need to be marked on your motor adaptor plate. this will make your adaptor plate centered for your own ev. when i get my new adaptor plate ill go over it a little more. thank you, Ben i hope our videos will make more people want to do homebrew conversions.
- For others trying to make a motor to transmission adapter plate, just be warned that there are some transmissions where the driven shaft ISN'T centered on the bolt pattern! My Geo Metro manual transmission is one of them! Looking good, Norm!
